A Twist on Dr. Kimmie’s Passion

"...I strive to be an advocate for the health of our next generation..."

Dr. Kimmie

My mission statement reads much longer, but this is the key statement out of it all. It's why I'm so passionate and fueled by seeing babies and children in the practice.
It's also a pretty easy side step to understand why I love working with pregnant moms.
But why postpartum moms? Why women who aren't moms at all (yet)? Why dads?
Here's the thing.
I started out in practice ONLY focusing on working with babies and children. And it was great! Tons of fun!
But as I came to know our families better, I learned I was missing a key component of a child's health:

Who’s taking care of the people who take care of my patients?

And thus an extension of my passion was born.

If I'm not taking care of the people who are taking care of our kids, I'm missing a BIG piece of what our
children need. These are the moms, the planning-to-be moms, the social workers, the teachers...if you
impact a child's life, even a single child, you're my people.
If what you're struggling with in your health is keeping you from being your 100% AWESOME, AMAZING, INCREDIBLE, WORLD-CHANGING self, then that means the kids in your life are getting less than they deserve.
Just like a child deserves for their nervous system to be at 100%, our kids deserve US to be at our own 100%, and no less, at all times, wouldn't you say? So how about we stop putting ourselves last so we can be our 100% for our kids!

Yours in health and happiness,

Kimmie Chernichky, D.C., CACCP
