Where to find us
〰️
Where to find us 〰️
We are located at 65 Shenandoah Ave. Suite 203 Daleville, VA 24083.
We are located just off of I-81’s Exit 150B.
We are located on the second floor of the LewisGale building that shares a parking lot with Addy Grace playground, and the Botetourt YMCA.
Once you enter the building, simply head up the stairs or the elevator to the second floor, and our door is right at the top of the stairs/elevator!
Our office phone number is 540-591-3535 if you have difficulty finding us!
Your exam is when we take the time to get to know you and understand where you are with your health.
Our exam consists of 3 key steps to do exactly this:
What to Expect:
-
Hearing your story of where you are and where you’ve been is our #1 tool to properly diagnose and know how to provide exceptional care for you.
-
We perform cutting edge scans to assess the function of your neurological system. Scans are simple, painless, and safe for all of our patients from the tiniest babies, to stressed out parents, to pregnant mamas!
This is a vital part, as it directs much of what we do with our adjustments. -
We will assess for various findings to help us gain a full understanding of what’s going on, and direct our diagnosis to help decide if chiropractic is the right step for you, as well as how to most effectively care for you. Some (though perhaps not all) of the things we may check for, depending on what we feel is necessary, include: range of motion, orthopedic tests, palpation (aka feeling around), tongue tie assessment (for infants) and visual inspection.
At times, we may need to refer you out for additional tests that are not conducted in our office, such as X-rays, MRI or other imaging, medical doctor evaluation, or bloodwork/labwork. Though we don’t have to do this too often, we know these may slow the progress of beginning care with us, it would only be recommended to rule out a concern that would cause us to believe that jumping to a chiropractic adjustment might not be in your best interest. We promise it’s because we want what’s best for you!
In most cases, we are able to refer directly for these. If there is a special circumstance preventing that direct referral, we will help guide you appropriately to get to where/who you need!
A FEW REMINDERS AS YOU PREPARE FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT:
Paperwork
Please make sure you complete your paperwork PRIOR to your arrival. Our doctors take the time to look through it before you arrive to ensure they are ready for a full and efficient exam.
If you haven't yet, you should be receiving a link to complete this paperwork shortly. It can easily be completed from any electronic device you prefer.
If you have any issues opening this, or don't receive it shortly, please contact us!
What to wear
We recommend that you wear clothing that is comfortable (for any movement tests). We also recommend that you wear a top that is separate from the bottoms (aka no one-piece dresses). During your scans, we will need access to your spine, and will provide you with a gown to remain covered on top. If you have your own separate bottoms (pants, shorts, skirt), you’ll feel more comfortable and covered.
Adjustments
In the same way that you wouldn’t want your doctor to put a cast on a broken bone without first looking at the X-Rays, we don’t want to adjust you until we have the time to sit down and look over your scans. This allows us time to make the best decisions and recommendations for your care!
But don’t worry! Your adjustment will be the highlight of the day at your second appointment, your report of findings!
Your kids are encouraged to join you!
As a family-focused practice, there is no need to find childcare during your appointments, unless you want to! We have a wonderful, safe, and fun playroom for our kids, healthy snacks, and a team of smiling faces who love baby snuggles, building towers, and reading books with your kids! In fact, lots of adjustments take place in our playroom because that’s just where our chirokiddos love to be!
